The tributaries of Clear Creek hosted much of the original Colorado Gold Rush. Thousands of adventurers
made a few bucks; some made a fortune, and several contributed greatly to the legacy of the emerging state and nation. But
the more enduring gold is that of the sunset over the waters.
The South Platte flows towards the North Platte, the Missouri,
the Mississippi, and the Gulf of Mexico.
